Samui Buri Beach Resort ★★★★

Beautiful resort on a lovely beach with excellent accommodation,pool and private beach area, good bteakfast and most helpful staff.

Restaurant poor for lunch/dinner necessitating travelling a bit for better alternatives

Perfect location if you are visiting other islands, right next to Maenam Pier. The rooms were really wide, clean and the A/C worked very fine. It will be awesome place to stay if you want somewhere that is right infront of beach but you just want to swim in swimming pool(Awesome photo view). Good breakfast.

No elevator, need to go up the stairs all the time, however hotel staff will bring your luggages up. Restaurant is abit too expensive.

We were very disappointed with this hotel, food was less than average, we had a very disappointing experience with room service were food turned up uncooked it took a further two hours to get a replacement. There were areas around the restaurant that had water around them but they are currently empty, consequently this enabled the rats to move in. At know time did we see a duty manager or any form of management. Very dissatisfied

Excellent service.. They simply thought of everything.. We loved the beach bags prepared with towels for the beach. The staff are friendly and very professional, they explained every little thing we needed to know. It was really perfect!

The restaurant 's food and breakfast tasted good but very limited choice and limited variety .. Only one kind of cheese and one kind of desert :(

The many crazy giant bugs that were hanging out by our door and hallway (mostly at night). The lizards that lived in our room.

Staff at the Samui Buri are fabulous. Always smiling, attentive and professional. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choice. The pool is a great size and the area is ideally placed with a lovely view of the beach.

The hotel is looking a little tired and a couple of areas and could do with a bit of a make over, however this did not detract from our holiday

Room was beautiful, very spacious and clean. The staff went above and beyond - I travelled with a 1 year old and they were always playing with him, entertaining him. Also very helpful with organising things when wanting to get a taxi somewhere, never had to wait longer than 5 minutes.

I loved everything there, could not fault it at all.

The pool, the pool villa was nice, big and clean. Nice beach. Good coffe. Friendly staff.

Air con sounded very badly. Bad food in the restaurant. Breakfast was ok but not super. Long check in time. They would really need a check list for all steps at check in.

The rooms were big. The staff were friendly. Fair choice for breakfast.

The room was dusty, hair left by previos guests. Had to run after housemaid for towels after she had taken the used ones every day. The ladder of the pool was set much too high. Although we had rooms with direct access of the pool(deluxe room) the pool was hardly used due to the ladder. Nearly impossible to get out of it. Our aircon was hardly working. Deposit was 3000 B which was very steep.

Room is gorgeous and balcony beautiful and spacious. Pool is beautiful. Front desk took much trouble to solve a dispute we had with tour company. Ken and Chan were excellent. Lunch salads at pool excellent. While the location of the hotel is not perfect the room and balcony made up for it. Wifi was good. There is no sea view from the room, but a nice garden view. Beautiful views from the pool. Lots of room at the pool and beach to layout and relax. There is an excellent convenience store nearby called V-Mart. It is the first convenience store on your right as you leave the hotel headed for the main road. The owner is Gideon..he is wonderful and speaks good English and very helpful. He closed his shop for part of the day and took us for a private Island tour. We saw all the best spots, he has a nice car/SUV, wonderful personality and very reasonable cost for a private 6 hour tour (we stopped for lunch too at an excellent local restaurant). Gideon's number is 081-6542212 or 083-3881428. He can arrange a tour for you. In my photos I posted a picture of his shop near the hotel. His prices at the shop are excellent. Large Leo beer is 60 baht.

Need a daily newspaper in lobby. Need a latte machine. Coffee was not very good. Wait staff at breakfast needs to be more attentive.

Resort and staff were very friendly, nice choice of breakfast in the mornings. Enjoyed the pool at our door step. Helpfull front desk staff, even house keep were friendly. Would recommend resort but Koh Samui not a place I would visit again.

Linen and towels need updating, frayed towels not a good look or feel. Not much within walking distance once you leave the resort.

The most beautiful pool I've ever seen, large rooms and great breakfast

Not clean, jacuzzi was awful, private pool was nice but very dirty.. Was expecting more for the price

The little extra touches - oil burners lit to repel insects with nightly turndown, beach bags with towels, filled ice buckets, complimentary waters etc Pool & quiet Beachside location with adequate beach chairs/ umbrellas for guests. Breakfast was great, lots of options to cater for everyone, especially loved the daily Fresh bread selection - with excellent overall variety. Available complimentary extras - mosquito coils, pillow choices, shuttle bus to BoPhut/Chaweng etc The internet connection was excellent, although we had to repeatedly sign in so was vital to keep the log in details handy.

Availability of Maps of immediate local area would of been great listing options for dining/shopping/massage with transport guidelines (i.e.: 10-15 min walk etc) as it is located on the more local/quieter end of Maenam, although the staff did draw us up a walking guide to the local grocery store. Personal pools were highly chlorinated and therefore a little off putting & the Shaded areas in the main pool were limited

The beach was beautiful and the area was quiet. It is definitely the nicest area on the Island.

The hotel service was appallingly bad. We were celebrating our friend's 40th birthday. Despite my best efforts to arrange for something special for her - the hotel refused to assist in providing anything (even after I offered to pay for the extra service). Generally the hotel and the rooms are worn out and poorly maintained. The fitness centre is non-functional and very dirty. The breakfast is poor, and often not stocked after about 8:30. All in all, it was a tremendous disappointment to stay at Samui Buri. I would definitely recommend trying a different place.

The resort is located at Mae Nam beach. Ko Samui is overcrowded and hectic and unfortunately so is Mae Nam. The resort lies away from the very busy ring street and provides rest and beauty. We had a grande pool villa which was beautiful! Enough space and a nice private pool. The villa was cleaned thoroughly everyday and in the evening the staff lights a scent candle in the villa! There is a free ride to Chaweng beach on reservation. The staff is extremely nice! The breakfast provides a lot of choices and is of good quality. The beach is private and beautiful and so is the joint swimming pool which includes a sine bar. The restaurant is of good quality but a bit more expensive than average in Thailand. Preparing food takes some time though... I was positively surprised by the gym which includes a barbell chest press as well as dumbbells.

The facilities were actually not so great in the room. The jacuzzi and air conditioning were broken but very quickly fixed by the staff! However the air conditioning broke again the other night. Power was cut off and after a call wifi was restored quickly. The hairdryer didn't work. I was a bit disappointed in Ko Samui: it is overcrowded and does not represent the real Thai way of life.

Amazing resort with an outstanding beach and pool. Lovely staff, lovely villas, paradise.

Wasn't too impressed by the breakfast. Does not live up to the resort's standard. (staff at breakfast still amazing :D )

Location was a taxi ride away from Maenam, but there were a good selection of shops and restaurants in walking distance

We were upgraded on arrival at no extra cost to a ground floor room(s) with access to a shared pool. Rooms were big, clean and bug-free except for one evening visit from a gecko! Breakfast was excellent with the restaurant situated by the sea. Infinity pool was good too. Hotel is situated though at the quiet end of Maenam beach so we made good use of the free shuttle to Fisherman's Village & Chaweng. Staff were very helpful throughout our 10 day stay.

Hand towels were rather scruffy & tatty.
